Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota - journalist, author, the CNN's "New Day" morning show, Westport resident and Westport Country Playhouse trustee - has been elected to the Westport Country Playhouse board. Camerota has been journalist for more than thirty years, was a reporter for news and events across the globe and nationally. She won the Emmy Award in her early journalistic career, for her coverage of the detention of Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow award when she reported the news of Hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone, of Stamford was made honorary trustee for her service as the board's chair since 2007. Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport was elected chair of the board following her tenure on the board since 2013. Czekaj-Farber succeeds Barbara Streicker of Westport, who served as the board's chair until October 2015, and continues as a board member since 2006.
